The Issue
We are asking Essex County to restore Outdoor Play Connection’s (OPC) access to Eagle Rock Reservation.

For 12 years, Claudine Mossberg, founder and owner of OPC, has helped children learn, play, and build a lasting connection with nature. For the past four years, Eagle Rock has been home to OPC’s nature-based programming for local children and families.

Essex County has abruptly ended OPC’s access to Eagle Rock without providing a reason or explanation, putting this meaningful community program at risk.

Eagle Rock is more than a program location. It is where children have built confidence, independence, friendships, and a connection to nature. OPC also gives back by cleaning up litter, reporting hazards, clearing trails, and teaching children to care for the land.

We ask Essex County to restore OPC’s access to Eagle Rock and allow this program to continue serving our community.
