This petition is submitted to respectfully request that the current Bayyari Elementary staff remain together following the approved transition of Jones Elementary students.

On March 10, the school board approved moving forward with the transition of Jones Elementary students and staff to other schools. As part of this decision, Jones students will be divided between Bayyari Elementary and Knapp Elementary. Additionally, Jones administrators and staff are scheduled to move to Bayyari Elementary, which may result in the relocation of current Bayyari staff members to other schools.

Over the past year, Bayyari Elementary has experienced significant positive progress under the leadership of Mrs. Peterson, who stepped in alongside Dr. Hampton during Mrs. Mullican’s leave. Their leadership has strengthened the school environment and fostered meaningful improvements within the school community.

Parents have noticed these positive changes and have become increasingly involved in the school. Families have built trusting relationships with the current Bayyari staff, who have worked hard to support students and create a stable, welcoming learning environment.

For these reasons, we respectfully request that the Bayyari staff remain together as a team so they can continue the progress that has been made and maintain the strong relationships that benefit our students and families.

We believe keeping the Bayyari staff intact will provide continuity, stability, and continued success for the school community
