Another huge thank you to everyone who has signed and shared the petition. Thanks to your support, it's now reached 2,500 signatures, a brilliant milestone and halfway to our target!

As mentioned in the last update, I'm hoping to reach 5,000 signatures before kick-off against Spurs (2 p.m.) on Sunday. That would represent a significant portion of a home crowd and send a clear message to the club. Since Farage has said he plans to attend a home match soon, we need to make our disapproval heard now. With more people active online over the weekend, we can definitely do it!

Thanks to all your efforts, The Northern Echo, The Chronicle, and The Canary have all now reported on the petition, showing it is gaining wider attention. Some of the journalists involved approached the club for comment, so they will now be aware that many supporters oppose any invitation to Farage.

If you'd like to help, the best thing to do is share the petition with friends and family and across SAFC-related spaces on social media such as Facebook groups. So far, very few signatures have come via X/Twitter, despite it hosting a large SAFC presence. Sharing the petition with prominent fan accounts there and asking them to post it could help reach an untapped audience.

Finally, I'd also like to let supporters know that Sunday's match will include a foodbank collection in support of Sunderland Community Soup Kitchen. You can drop off donations near the Bob Stokoe Statue from 12 p.m. If you were considering spending money to promote the petition, please consider donating to them instead. It would be far more impactful and help provide crucial support to the local community.
