A huge thank you to everyone who has signed and shared the petition so far, helping it to reach over 1,700 signatures! It's a fantastic effort and shows how strongly we feel about this issue.

I'd love to reach 5,000 signatures before kick-off against Spurs (2 p.m.) on Sunday. Farage has said he intends to visit before the end of the season, so we have to make our opposition heard now. Moreover, that figure would represent roughly 10% of a typical home crowd and send a clear message to the club. It's an ambitious target, but it's definitely achievable if we keep the momentum going over the next few days.

While I'm extremely grateful to see that some of you have paid to promote the petition, those promotions, unfortunately, haven't generated many extra signatures. Instead, please consider donating to a charity like Sunderland Community Soup Kitchen, which does vital work in the city.

If you'd like to support the petition, the most helpful thing you can do is share it with friends and family and on social media. Posting it in SAFC-related spaces on social media, especially Facebook groups or on Twitter with #SAFC, has already made a huge difference.
