Update: You Made Your Voices Heard. Thank You.

When we launched this petition, our goal was simple: make sure the voices of bars, restaurants, our customers and employees and the communities we serve were heard.
Today, we're excited to share that NFL Sunday Ticket is returning to DIRECTV FOR BUSINESS for the 2026 season through a new multi-year agreement between EverPass Media and DIRECTV FOR BUSINESS.
This means bars and restaurants will once again have access to NFL Sunday Ticket through DIRECTV's trusted commercial platform, with the flexibility to use streaming or satellite to provide the best possible viewing and programming that you deserve.
Throughout this process, restaurant owners made one thing clear: game day isn't just about football. It's about bringing people together, supporting local businesses, creating jobs and serving communities. You reminded decision-makers that any changes to the NFL Sunday Ticket needed to work for the businesses that rely on it every Sunday and support the fans that have come to expect a premium viewing experience.
To everyone who signed, shared, contacted lawmakers, worked with restaurant associations, or simply helped spread the word I give my sincere thanks. I would also like to give a special shout-out and say "THANK YOU" to Jim Haller, a fellow restaurant & bar owner for going to Congress and speaking on behalf of all of the hospitality operators. Job well done!
Your voices helped keep the needs of bars and restaurants at the center of the conversation, and we're grateful to everyone who stood with independent businesses across the country.
While today's announcement is an important milestone, it's also the beginning of a broader effort to make premium sports simpler and more accessible for businesses in the years ahead.
Thank you for standing with us and for standing up for America's bars and restaurants.
Eric Johnson, Legends Sports Bar
