Keep Ms. A at Unity Academy

A Petition from Unity Academy Students, Parents & Families

We, the students, parents, and families of Unity Academy, respectfully appeal to GEE and the School Board to reconsider the decision to transfer our beloved administrator, Ms. A, to another school.

Ms. A is far more than an administrator to our students — she is a source of comfort, encouragement, joy, and belonging.

Every morning, her bright and cheerful face welcomes our children into school. She makes each child feel seen, special, and loved. For students who may be nervous, shy, or simply having a difficult morning, Ms. A has an incredible way of making them feel safe and reminding them that Unity Academy is their home away from home.

Her loving and caring nature has touched countless students, parents, and staff members. She brings a sense of happiness, warmth, and positivity into our school that cannot easily be replaced. The relationships she has built with our children are meaningful, and her presence has become an important part of the welcoming and nurturing environment that makes Unity Academy so special.

Ms. A is also a strong pillar of the culture and values that our families cherish at Unity Academy. She does not simply speak about those values — she models and reinforces them every day through the way she interacts with our students, supports our families, and helps create an environment where children feel cared for, respected, and held to high standards.

For many families, this environment is one of the very reasons we chose Unity Academy for our children. Losing someone who has played such an important role in building and maintaining that culture would be a tremendous loss to our entire school community. We are deeply concerned that without Ms. A’s presence, it will be difficult to maintain the same sense of warmth, stability, connection, and shared values that our families have come to know and trust.

The news of Ms. A’s transfer has already left many of our students and families deeply saddened. Her absence would not simply mean losing an administrator — it would mean losing a trusted leader, a familiar source of comfort for our children, and one of the people who has helped make Unity feel like Unity.

We understand that administrative decisions can involve many factors that families may not be aware of. However, we respectfully ask GEE and the School Board to hear the voices of the students and families who experience firsthand the positive impact Ms. A has on Unity Academy every single day.

Ms. A is an incredible asset to our school. She has poured her love, care, dedication, and heart into our children and our community. We believe her continued presence at Unity Academy is deeply valuable to preserving the school culture and environment our students and families have grown to love.

We respectfully ask GEE and the School Board to reconsider this decision and allow Ms. A to remain at Unity Academy — the school community that loves her, values her, and would feel her loss deeply.

Please do not donate money through the petition website. Any donation prompt you may see after signing is from the petition platform and does not go to Ms. A, Unity Academy, or our efforts to advocate for her return. Signing and sharing the petition is what helps our cause. There is absolutely no need to make a monetary contribution.
