i’m part of the klein cain hs band, and right now our school’s administration and the district fine arts department is trying to fire our head director, Ms. bradberry. the administration has given no reason for wanting to fire her, and we believe that she has no reason to be fired. Ms. Bradberry has essentially built the entire program here at Klein Cain from the ground up, from openeing the school in 2017. In our short 8 year history we've become one of the premier band programs in the Greater Houston Area and weve had numerous successes under Ms. Bradberrys direction, from being the first Klein ISD school (along with our sister school Klein Oak) to make it to the state marching contest since 2006 and consistent UIL sweepstakes awards .we’ve had 8 directors leave the program in the past 3 years, and she’s the only original director left from when the school opened. right now 3 directors are leaving, leaving only her and the percussion director left (associate, assistant, and guard director leaving). In wake of her potential dismissal a large number of current members are planning to quit if she ends up being fired from Klein Cain and also if she were to leave it would leave a massive hole in the program that wouldn’t be able to be filled with any new director. Our program is still gaining momentum and we thank Ms. Bradberry for all her hard work and dedication to essentially INVENTING Klein Cain and making it what it is today, if shes fired from her position all of her hard work and dedication will all have been for not. several students (including me) in the program have been trying to bring awareness to the issue, and i’ve seen that you’ve helped bring awareness to issues that other bands have had in the past. so i was wondering whether you could help us in bringing awareness to the issue? thanks in advance 🙏
