Keep Monday/Wednesday Classes at Kennesaw State University
This petition had 10,637 supporters
Kennesaw State University is planning on eliminating all Monday/Wednesday classes THAT TAKE PLACE BEFORE 3:30 and only offering Monday/Wednesday/Friday classes during this time period (MOST FRIDAY CLASSES BEING HYBRID), effective the Fall of 2018. The move is apparently due to overcrowding and lack of space on Monday/Wednesday and Tuesday/Thursday as well as a lack of students on campus on Friday and Saturday.
We believe the elimination of Monday/Wednesday classes during these times and the enforcement of Monday/Wednesday/Friday classes will either unfairly force students to campus on days that they've clearly displayed they would rather not be present on (in the case of Friday classroom sessions) or add unnecessary additional work for students to complete on Fridays (in the case of hybrid classes)- both of which would interfere with student responsibilities on these days- occupational or otherwise.
One of the best parts of the college experience is the option to have Fridays off- hence why so many take advantage of the opportunity. If this rule was to be enforced, the University should expect unprecedented overcrowding on Tuesdays and Thursdays and a lack of students signing up for Monday/Wednesday/Friday classes. By signing this petition, you're advocating for the continuation of Monday/Wednesday classes BEFORE 3:30 and condemning the University's decision to eliminate them.
