Keep Major Jason Fisher in PG County Division-VI

Keep Major Jason Fisher in PG County Division-VI
The Issue
As a resident and community advocate in the Greater Beltsville/Laurel area, I have had the distinct pleasure of working closely with Major Jason Fisher and his dedicated command staff at the Prince George’s County Division-VI Police Station. Major Fisher and his team have tirelessly committed themselves to strengthening community ties, fostering partnerships with citizens, businesses, and organizations, and rebuilding a sense of community and partnership in our neighborhoods.
Under Major Fisher’s leadership, our community has seen a notable decrease in crime rates, creating a safer environment for our families and businesses. The dedicated officers under his command have engaged in numerous community outreach programs, effectively bridging any gaps between law enforcement and the community. Major Fisher’s unique ability to lead with empathy and understanding has ensured an open line of communication between the police force and residents, which has been crucial to maintaining peace and trust.
In these challenging times, it is imperative that we hold onto leaders who are not only knowledgeable and experienced but are also genuinely invested in the welfare of our community. Major Fisher embodies these qualities. His departure from the Prince George’s County Division-VI Police Station would be a tremendous loss to the community, undoing the substantial progress that has been made in strengthening public safety and civic engagement.
Therefore, with a heavy heart but strong determination, I urge the decision-makers involved in this transition to reconsider and allow Major Jason Fisher to continue his exemplary service as the Commander of the Prince George’s County Division-VI Police Station. His continued presence is essential for the ongoing safety and unity of our beloved Beltsville community.
Please join me in signing this petition to ensure that our community retains the leadership of Major Jason Fisher. It is a pivotal time for the Greater Beltsville/Laurel area, and we must advocate for the leaders who have proven their commitment to moving us forward.
