Tim James' (MP for Willoughby) response to my request for his assistance

Last week I replied to an email newsletter from Tim James about the new public parkland in Cammeray. I raised the issue of Love'N Deuce being evicted and asked for his assistance. Much to my surprise, he actually replied with his support and attached his press release about this matter. 

His press release reads: 

Member for Willoughby Tim James has called for urgent intervention to save the Talus Street Tennis Centre at Naremburn and keep the Talus Street Reserve open to the community.
The Northern Suburbs Tennis Association has been ordered to vacate the eight-court facility by 30 September. The former Crown reserve had been transferred to the Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land Council under a successful aboriginal land claim in 2022.
Talus Street has been home to tennis since 1979. The centre now records more than 62,000 player visits annually and supports coaching, competitions and social tennis for all ages.
Mr James, a patron of the centre, said Talus Street Reserve must remain available for public recreation and called on the MLALC to immediately suspend the eviction and negotiate a reasonable agreement that secures the centre’s future.
“This is one of Sydney’s busiest community tennis facilities and it has served locals for nearly 50 years,” Mr James said. “Once these facilities are lost, they are rarely replaced. The community cannot be left worse off from this decision.”
“I am also calling on the NSW Government to step in and find a solution that secures the future of the centre.”
“It is deeply concerning that the Aboriginal Land Council has already pursued plans for an 18-storey, 303-apartment high rise development on the site. New housing cannot come at the cost of irreplaceable sporting facilities and open space. More homes must be matched by the infrastructure that keeps communities healthy, connected and liveable.”
“Talus Street must remain open for public recreation. We cannot stand aside and allow almost 50 years of community tennis to end.”
