A step forward—Council responds to our community focus!

Hi everyone,
Following our push for transparency, the Council provided a second response.  They recognise how important the fitness centre, its affordability, and its sense of community are to those that use it.  They stated that Council's objectives include continuing fitness services, supporting positive community outcomes, recognising existing members, and ensuring a smooth transition for members and user groups. 
While this shows our collective voice is being heard, there are two catches:
Location uncertainty: They promised "continuing fitness services" but did not explicitly say they would remain at Logan Metro. Because they own another facility, we must ensure our programs aren't relocated and preferably remain council operated.
No further updates: The Council explicitly stated they will not share any more information until the entire procurement process is fully complete.

What happens next?
These words are a start, but we need reassurance that our local gym will remain open and affordable. The tender is still being evaluated, so please keep sharing the petition to keep the pressure on.
