Our beloved Llanelli Pemberton Beefeater Restaurant and Public House is under threat. This establishment, which has served our community for many years, is currently under consultation to close its doors to the public and become a hotel only. This change would not only deprive our community of a cherished gathering place but also put hardworking staff members at risk of losing their jobs.

Among these dedicated employees are families who have given 15 years of excellent service to Whitbread and the Llanelli Community. Their livelihoods hang in the balance as they face an uncertain future due to this proposed closure. 

The Pemberton Beefeater is more than just a restaurant or pub—it's part of our local identity, an integral part of our social fabric that welcomes both residents and visitors alike. Its potential closure would be a significant loss for all who call Llanelli home. This is not just any food and drink venue, this is our Pemberton Beefeater Family, our community hub, a safe welcoming space to meet and eat. 

We urge those in power to reconsider this decision, taking into account not just economic factors but also its impact on human lives and the local community.
