Keep Life-Changing MS Treatments on the PBS ⭐
The issue
Protect Access to Life-Changing Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Treatments on the PBS
Thousands of Australians living with multiple sclerosis rely on PBS-subsidised medications such as Ocrevus and Kesimpta to slow disease progression, reduce relapses, and maintain their independence and quality of life.
Many people with MS have worked closely with their neurologists to find a treatment that is safe and effective for them. Forcing patients to change treatment because of funding decisions could increase anxiety, disrupt their care, and put their health at risk.
We call on the Australian Government to ensure these medications remain available on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) while negotiations continue. No Australian should lose access to the treatment that is keeping their MS under control because of a pricing dispute.
We ask the Government to:
Keep Ocrevus and Kesimpta on the PBS.
Protect existing patients from being forced to switch treatments.
Work with manufacturers to reach a fair agreement that prioritises patient health and access to care.
People living with MS deserve certainty, continuity of treatment, and access to the medications recommended by their healthcare team.
Please protect access to these life-changing treatments and put patients first.
