Has Project Flourish been approved?
No - not yet.
Just to recap, Ballymore submitted their planning application in Oct. 2023. It was rejected by the GLA in Jan. 2024. RBKC kept extending the decision date - and then a couple of weeks ago we were told Ballymore had just submitted revised plans for Transport and Contamination to address GLA concerns.
Once again we trawled through hundreds of pages of documents to produce two summary reports :
The Sainsburys site is heavily contaminated, Ballymore's revised report shows presence of deadly toxin Billy Blue (Cyanide) as well as Asbestos, Benzene, Napthalene and Tolumene.
These toxins will be released into the atmosphere as gas and dust particulates when Ballymore start remediating the site.
THERE ARE SERIOUS HEALTH CONCERNS FOR RESIDENTS WHO BREATHE IN THESE TOXIC GASES.
DEADLY TOXINS CAN TRAVEL UP TO A RADIUS OF 7km TO WESTMINSTER, BRENT AS WELL AS KENSINGTON AND CHELSEA
I urge everyone who has signed the petition to read the attached reports and go to the RBKC Planning portal and OBJECT to Project Flourish.
If we can convert 5735 signatures into 5735 objections we can stop Project Flourish and protect our local community.
