Ballymore have now submitted their planning application to RBKC with a revised Timeline as shown above.
The Public Consultation period ends on January 12th, 2024 - which in reality means we have to submit our objections to RBKC by December15th before the Xmas break.
This is a HYBRID plan, which means Ballymore only have to submit detailed plans for the FIRST PART of the development timeline (ie.construction of the new Sainsbury's store) and an outline for the rest (which includes all the high rise/high density Tower blocks.)
A lot of work is going on behind the scenes to "unpick" the endless pages of Ballymore's supporting documents so we can prepare the most effective challenge that not only reflect resident's concerns but also reference the all important "Local" and "London plan".
CONTAMINATION ISSUE
You can find a summary of key findings (based on the supporting documents we found in Ballymore's planning application ) on the Keep Kensal Green website. (Scroll down the Objection Letter page to the bottom)
ARE WE MAKING A DIFFERENCE?
Yes absolutely! All the efforts we've made over the last 6 months are starting to bear fruit.
We now have 3,250 signatures on this petition and over 8k views for our campaign videos.
Through our leaflet drops,. press coverage, sharing information and insights with other RA's and organisations like the GASWORKS COMMUNITY (an umbrella organisation representing campaigns throughout the UK) , talking to local councillors and MP's - there is now much greater awareness about the impact of this development and our campaign!
WE HAVE 3 WEEKS TO OBJECT
It's vital that we send our objections to RBKC before Xmas.
We've created a page on the Keep Kensal Green website with some downloadable OBJECTION LETTER Templates.
We want to encourage residents to edit adapt and personalise with their own concerns - but hopefully it's a useful starting point.
Thank you all for your continuing support and messages of encouragement.
