Keep it Made in Erie! Tell GE to Stop the Destruction of 1,000 Jobs!

Is a billion dollars in profit not enough to stop a company from destroying and downgrading American manufacturing jobs?

GE’s plan to steal nearly a thousand jobs from Erie, Pennsylvania, is morally wrong, legally wrong and contractually wrong. It is wrong for the workers, wrong for the community and wrong for our country. It will put hard-working families on the unemployment line and rob Erie of needed economic vitality. It will devalue American manufacturing jobs by replacing some of the jobs destroyed in Erie with jobs paying $10 per hour less, a move that undercuts our nation’s attempt at economic recovery. It is a callous and greedy move by a company that saw profits in its Erie-based Transportation Division double two years ago and top the $1 billion dollar mark last year.

We demand that GE honor its commitment to the workers and community whose labor and support made these huge profits possible. We demand that GE "Keep It Made In Erie"!
