The Issue

We, the participants of the IIM Nagpur program, respectfully request our fellow participant, Raika, to help us protect one of our most valuable and limited resources: class time.

Questions are an essential part of learning. Discussions, debates and different perspectives make a classroom better. However, questions and conversations that are repeatedly unrelated to the topic being taught can interrupt the flow of the session, divert faculty from the subject, and consume time meant for the entire class.

Therefore, through this petition, we make one simple request:

Please keep classroom questions and discussions relevant to the topic being taught.

If a question is personal, highly specific, unrelated to the session, or requires a completely different discussion, it can preferably be taken up with the professor after class or through an appropriate separate conversation.

This petition is not against asking questions. In fact, ask more questions — just make them relevant.

Our objective is simple:
Less distraction. More learning. Better classes.

Every participant has invested significant time, effort and money in this program, and everyone deserves the opportunity to make the most of the faculty's limited classroom time.

Our humble appeal to Raika:
Let the professor cook. 🔥
Let the class learn. 📚
And save the off-topic conversations for after class. 😄

Signed,
Students who came to learn the topic mentioned on the slide.
