Keep Highland Park’s Connection with Stop & Shop Alive

The Issue

With the upcoming closing of the Highland Park Stop & Shop location on March 16th, many residents are concerned that they will have difficulty getting groceries. This matter is particularly disconcerting for the elderly, disabled people, families without cars, and local business owners.

For many years Stop & Shop has served an important role in the lives of Highland Park residents, businesses, and governing body have been avid shoppers at and supporters of the grocery store.

After coming to terms with the closure we want to minimize the disruption the impact the closure will have on the town we urge Stop & Shop to continue their support for the town by implementing methods of helping out the community by doing things like waiving delivery fees to Highland Park or having a day to drop off orders in a central HP location until the next supermarket is opened. We hope that this proposal can be further explored and developed in a dialogue with the Borough.

Please sign this petition to support our efforts to get Stop & Shop to continue to address our community’s needs.

We appreciate your consideration.
