I've had the pleasure of witnessing the incredible impact Ms. Hecht and Mr. West have had on Justine Spitalny Elementary School over the years. These two dedicated leaders have not only enriched the lives of my five children who have thrived under their care, but they have also left an indelible mark on the entire school community, including parents and staff.

Their commitment to fostering a nurturing environment goes beyond the classroom, creating a safe space where students feel valued and empowered to learn. Ms. Hecht and Mr. West are nothing short of exemplary in their dedication, compassion, and ability to connect with students on a profound level.

The recent decision to remove them from the school is not only baffling to many of us who have witnessed their excellent work firsthand, but it also appears to reflect an abuse of power by the board president. There is every indication that personal agendas are at play, overshadowing the best interests of our children and the community as a whole.
