A fund-raising message from Karen Franklin
“After the success of the Quiz & Salty Dogs night, many have asked what is next ...
Events take a lot of organisation and generosity of time, venues and sponsors so we are very lucky to have some locals who have got businesses and are providing us with other options for fundraising.
Kitchen Door which is situated down at the marina in a 'container shop' by the marina office, is the first of these. Each week there will be an item that will have part of the purchase price donated back to KWGS.
This is the first week and appropriately so ... Sean has offered us 'eggs'. As you can see from the description, there are two options. $1 from each purchase of an egg will come to KWGS and at the end of the week when we are letting you know what the next week's item will be, we will let you know how much we raised the preceding week.
Kitchen Door food is all cooked on the premises and does need to be collected from there as 'couriers and fresh food don't always work well together'.
Thanks for your support Sean ... please let Sean know that you have seen our post - the donation is not subject to this but it is always nice for sponsors to know that people appreciate their generosity - and please let friends and family know.
There will be another fundraiser coming up shortly that is 'same, same, but different' to this but along the same lines ... as soon as we have the logistics in place for that, I will let you know.
As always thanks for your support of these fundraisers that are integral ... along with donations ... in our fight to save the golf course, open space, our great neighbourhood and values of our homes.”
