Hello Everyone

As at 5 p.m. on Friday 22th December, the last working day before the Christmas break, we have not heard anything further from the Auckland City Council regarding the Resource Consent Application which was filed by the owner of the Golf Harbour Country Club.

Just to be clear, if we do receive any updates on the Resource Consent Application from the Council you will be informed as soon as possible.

Once again, a massive thank you to the 330 supporters who attended our Keep Whangaparāoa’s Green Spaces Public Meeting on 7th December and sent a clear message to the GHCC owner that the Whangaparāoa community demand that the golf course be retained as green space.

Thank you to Greg Taylor and Karen Franklin, who are working with a large group of generous local businesses and individuals to organize a KWGS fundraising event in the New Year. Look out for further information in January.

The executive of KWGS would like to thank everyone for their support this year. 2024 will require us to continue the fight to retain Gulf Harbour’s green space through working with the Auckland Council and using the Court system if/as required. We will need to be committed to a long-term programme, possibly over several years, to be successful.
