The Issue

The GSL community needs to hear this loud and clear right now. I need your support more than ever before to keep me on the ground reporting the news.

As many of you know, I served prison time and was released on parole for stealing video games. I took accountability for my past. However, my current parole officer was on the news for stealing directly from one of her own clients. Instead of facing real punishment for her actions, she was granted paid leave funded by your taxpayer dollars and allowed to return to work as if nothing happened.

It is clear she lacks the integrity required for her position. She is actively trying to discourage me and make me too afraid to chase my dreams. My career as an independent journalist is dedicated to exposing corruption and holding people in power accountable, and that makes people like her uncomfortable.

Right now, I am fighting in court because she is attempting to violate my parole. To be clear, this is strictly a technical violation. I did not commit any crimes or catch any new charges.

This entire violation is simply because I am a news reporter, trying to report the news, and possessing news equipment.

This is a direct effort to silence me and stop my growth as a young journalist in America. It is my duty to stand on business and report the truth no matter who is involved. True accountability is the only way we will create lasting change in our community.

To keep GSL News alive and ensure I can continue bringing you the truth, I need you to stand with me. Please sign this petition to show your support and demand fairness.

If you want to show up in person, my next court date is this Thursday, May 21, at 9:30 AM at the Hall of Justice in Rochester, New York. More details will follow soon. Sign the petition, share this post, and let's stand together.
