Summer is only a couple of weeks away and made a call to the Town of Hamburg Dept of Youth, Recreation and Senior Services and spoke with Director Jillian Gorman King. I inquired about Greeters down at the Guard Shack and was told they were "not in the budget". She said Hamburg Police Dept hired an additional security guard totaling 2 to issue tickets and additional signage down at the Beach instead.
Greeters are the first person anyone sees when entering the beach and always with a smile. They explain to non residents that a permit is required by Hamburg residents in order to park there then directing them to leave or be ticketed.
To learn that they were not in the budget I believe is a disservice to taxpayers and I also question additional signage that people don't see in the first place. They work well with the Security Guards to keep disturbances down and anyone who regulars down there knows the frustration of non residents taking up parking spaces.

Security Guards and Greeters are a temporary fix to a long and on going issue with non residents
