An Historical Fairfield, a green field site in Great Mongeham's, near Deal, Kent, found at the bottom of St Edmunds Road, is threatened by a housing development, and imminent planning is being discussed.

This development proposes self-builds and would cause numerous problems, including (but not limited to) more traffic, loss of open space, air pollution, and destruction of flora and local wildlife.

The facts are that the land is not in the DDC local plan for development and is not a brownfield site or a ‘Windfall’ site, as the developer states,   as the number of self-build houses proposed exceeds one or two.  
We need to make our voices heard and object to these development proposals for these reasons.
