Wolves in the northern Rockies are in grave danger: Fall hunting season soon begins and with it another mass slaughtering of wolves in states like Idaho, Montana and Wyoming.

In Idaho, hunters and trappers can kill an unlimited number of wolves in gruesome ways, like chasing them down with hounds and snowmobiles. Montana rewards hunters with bounties for dead wolves.

You can help: Sign the petition to tell the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to protect northern Rocky Mountain wolves under the Endangered Species Act.

In the most recent hunting and trapping season alone, these three states have slaughtered approximately 500 wolves by brutal means like strangulation snares. Twenty-five of them were killed simply for stepping outside the borders of Yellowstone National Park, where they're safe.

But there's hope: The Biden administration can save the wolves who remain.

Last year the Center for Biological Diversity filed an emergency petition to protect northern Rocky Mountains wolves under the Endangered Species Act, but the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service missed its deadline to respond. So now we're in court to save these intelligent, social animals, who are crucial to helping their ecosystems thrive.

Take action: Sign the petition to tell the Service to immediately protect to wolves in Idaho, Montana and Wyoming.
