We want to keep Georgie Parkes Swim School (GPSS) at Ironside State School.

Georgie Parkes Swim School is more than a business – it has become a cherished part of the Ironside State School community. Since opening in 2012, GPSS has taught more than 15,000 kids how to swim, in personalised classes where long-term teachers can actually know their students. In the process, it has grown a strong community around a love of swimming, and become a much-loved part of the Ironside experience.

We recognise the school administration needs to put the pool contract out to tender, but this is much more than merely a bureaucratic or business decision. We encourage the administration to recognise the enormous good Georgie Parkes Swim School has achieved for Ironside, and allow GPSS to remain at its current home.
