Keep Gage Gomien incarcerated for domestic violence

Keep Gage Gomien incarcerated for domestic violence
The Issue
I am a survivor of domestic violence. My son, my daughter, and I endured a nightmare that no family should ever have to experience. The person responsible for our pain and suffering is Gage Gomien, who committed acts of domestic violence against us. Gage has an ongoing record of domestic violence since 2012, yet he keeps being released. I refuse to sit idly by and let this happen to anyone else. The language alone that he used around my son still has lingering effects on our life. I did allow this individual into our life and I regret everyday that I did knowing what I know now. I know God will judge us all, but if something can be done to prevent another person to have to endure what we have; I will use my voice for that.
Domestic violence is a severe crime that impacts millions of people across the United States, destabilizing families and leaving lasting scars on its victims. According to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, one in four women and one in nine men have experienced severe intimate partner physical violence, intimate partner contact sexual violence, and/or intimate partner stalking with impacts such as injury, fearfulness, post-traumatic stress disorder, use of victim services, contraction of sexually transmitted diseases, etc.
Despite the harm he caused, there is a chance that Gage Gomien might not serve a sentence fitting the severity of his crimes. It is vital for the safety of my family and countless others that Gage remains incarcerated. Keeping individuals like him behind bars ensures they cannot harm others and sends a strong message that domestic violence will not be tolerated in our society.
Our community must band together to advocate for justice. We urge the legal authorities to impose a sentence on Gage Gomien that reflects the seriousness of his actions and prioritize the safety of victims and potential victims in the future.
Please join us in this urgent plea to keep Gage Gomien locked up by signing and sharing this petition. Together, we can protect families from suffering at the hands of abusers and work towards a safer future for all. Your signature could make all the difference. Thank you for your support.
