Keep Freebee in St Pete Beach

The Issue

On December 23, 2024 the City Commission of St Pete Beach made the motion to move the discussion of possibly cancelling their contract with Freebee to the January 14, 2025 meeting.

Freebee is a service, funded by the city, that offers FREE rides in their electric vehicles.

Residents without transportation use it for groceries & pharmacy runs. Hotel and restaurant workers use it 7 days a week so that these businesses are staffed. Vacationers and residents alike use it to go to our amazing beaches without the hassle of parking.

As with any business, are there changes and tweaks that Freebee could make to ensure a better experience? Of course and they seem ready to help in that regard.

The hope of this petition is that all the pertinent facts are laid out and that the City of St Pete Beach Commissioners doesn't make a rash decision and terminate the Freebee contract but rather try to work with Freebee in ways to appease both sides and to keep this valuable service in St Pete Beach.

I thank you for taking the time to read this.
