First and foremost, a HUGE thank you to every single person who signed, shared, and supported our petition. Your incredible response has shown just how much our community cares—and because of you, we’ve made real progress!
Since launching this petition on March 25th, we’ve successfully brought our concerns to the attention of Superintendent Dr. LaRocca and the School Board. That same evening, dedicated parents and staff attended the board meeting to advocate for Howell Road, making sure our voices were heard. Good News & Forward Momentum:
In the weeks that followed, Dr. LaRocca held a public forum to address parent concerns and share her vision for District 13. Even better? Parent-led hiring committees were formed to interview candidates for the principal and assistant vice principal roles—and feedback from those involved has been overwhelmingly positive! While we’ll always cherish Mr. Huplosky’s leadership, he’s assured us he’ll remain close by, working to ensure Howell’s continued success.

TODAY (Tuesday, May 20th) is the School Budget Vote & Board Trustee Election, and we need every supporter to make their voice heard at the polls. This is about more than just one vote—it’s about shaping the future of our schools!
