The undersigned want to inform you that we are thankful for Fire Island Pedicab, a vital and beloved part of our community. For years, Fire Island Pedicab has provided environmentally friendly, accessible, and affordable transportation options that benefit tourists, residents, and local businesses.

As a locally owned and operated business, Fire Island Pedicab provides a unique and fun way to explore the Fire Island Lighthouse and Kismet. It contributes to the local economy by creating jobs and fostering a sense of community. In an era when sustainable, eco-friendly transportation solutions are needed more than ever, Fire Island Pedicab has led the charge by offering a green alternative to traditional forms of transport.

However,  Fire Island Pedicab faces challenges from New York State that threaten its ability to continue operating. The closure of this company would cause a significant loss to our park. Pedicabs offer a sustainable way to reduce traffic congestion, lower carbon emissions, and provide an alternative to car-reliant transportation. We want New York State and relevant authorities to immediately support Fire Island Pedicab and ensure it remains a fixture at Robert Moses Field 5.
