Because Sarah Wilson’s contract not being renewed is a personnel matter, by its very nature it should not be discussed in an open forum and details surrounding it should remain confidential out of respect for Sarah and everyone involved.  That is a principle that the Board and Organization as a whole take seriously so as to protect the integrity of the process and handle situations like this with care, fairness, and integrity. That is why the community does not know all the details, and why the Board is unable to share those details publicly.

I assume you started the petition because you thought that the Board made its decision without reason or sufficient consideration.  I can assure you that the Board did not take making this decision lightly, and only arrived at it after much discussion, consideration, and prayer. 

The Board appreciates your care and concern for our school and its leadership. Please know that the Board’s goal is to see CGCS thrive, and based on the full scope of information available, the Board believes this decision supports that goal.

Ever since I became a part of the Captain Gilmer Christian School community, one person has consistently stood as a beacon of genuine care and leadership: Sarah Wilson. Over the years, I have witnessed her unwavering dedication to the students' well-being, always prioritizing their educational and personal growth. Her passion for teaching goes beyond the classroom, making each student feel valued, understood, and inspired. 

Sarah Wilson's impact on our school is undeniable, from fostering a nurturing environment to her hands-on approach in addressing students' needs.
