Over the past few years we have regularly been running our Dog Cuddling events in Sandy's Bar in the union, but since the union franchising with Wetherspoons this is now not possible, and since every other space in the union is carpeted (with the exception of 601 and Beacon Bar, which we have been told are not available to us), under their dog policy we are not able to run our events in the union.

We are petitioning for the union to change their dog policy or allow us to use 601 or Beacon Bar, but to get them to do this we need to prove the importance of our events to students and our mental wellbeing.

If you would like us to be able to continue running our events in the future please sign this petition and share it with any other students who may want to help!
