Leading With Love is Not a Reason to Leave

Due to a decision made by Lynchburg City Schools Administration, E.C. Glass High School is facing the loss of a Principal who has made a real and lasting impact on students, staff and families. 

Dr. Dani Rule leads with care, respect, and genuine commitment to every student. His leadership has created a school environment where students feel supported, teachers feel valued, and high expectations are upheld. Dr. Rule is not only a dedicated Principal- he is a lifelong Lynchburg City Schools educator who has committed twenty years to serving our community. His deep roots within LCS reflect long-standing investment in our students, families, and schools.

At a time where there has been much transition in the LCS Administration, trusted leaders like Dr. Rule ensure stability and continuity for our students. A school’s success depends on trust, consistency, and strong relationships. Removing a Principal who has built that foundation creates unnecessary disruptions and raises serious concerns, especially without clear communication from the administration.

We are asking the Lynchburg City School Board to:

• Reevaluate the administrative decision that led to Dani Rule’s resignation
• Provide transparency around how and why this decision was made
• Prioritize stability and the well-being of the students and staff
• Reinstate Dr. Rule as Principal at E.C. Glass High School 

Our students deserve leadership that sees them, supports them, and holds them to high standards. We believe Dani Rule is that leader.
