Keep Dandy With Roman

Keep Dandy With Roman
The Issue
This is Dandy the Labrador Retriever.
For many years, Dandy has been a source of joy and a steadfast companion for Roman.
Roman, in turn, has been a first-class handler, ensuring Dandy’s safety and well-being while nurturing a bond that is akin to family.
Unfortunately, now that Dandy has retired, Victim Services wants to separate this cherished relationship by sending Dandy back to her original owner—an owner who has not lived with her for almost a decade and now intends to put her back to work. This would isolate Dandy from the life she knows, away from Roman who has been her trusted partner and friend.
The love and dedication Roman has shown over the years is unmatched. He has provided Dandy with a stable home, showered her with care, and has been pivotal in providing her a loving and joyful environment. Taking Dandy away from Roman, especially to be placed back into working conditions at her age, is not only detrimental to her welfare but is also unfair to both her and Roman.
We understand the legal perspectives involved, but we appeal for a compassionate judgment. Dandy deserves to spend her retirement in peace and comfort rather than returning to a lifestyle of labor. The emotional and physical stress of such a transition could be harmful to her well-being.
Dandy is not just a working dog; she is a beloved family member who has inextricably bonded with Roman and his family. Allowing her to stay with Roman will enable her to continue enjoying the retirement she has rightfully earned in a loving environment.
Please join us in urging Victim Services to reconsider their decision and allow Dandy to remain with Roman. Sign this petition to show your support in keeping Dandy with the handler and family she loves and trusts.
