Dear Supporters,
As a result of the overwhelming advocacy opposing Governor Newsom's proposed delay of $1 billion in funding to Disability Services, the Assembly Budget Subcommittee unanimously OPPOSED the proposal at their hearing last week!
Our petition was sent to Subcommittee members last Tuesday with 800+ signatures and hundreds of advocates showed up to the Capitol in Sacramento on Wednesday to voice their opposition at the hearing. Thank you for being part of this movement. Your voice made a difference!
The fight, however, is far from over. The proposal will next be heard at the Senate Budget Subcommittee hearing on March 21. Please continue to share this petition with others as we now forward it on to the Senate Budget Subcommittee.
