Recently, Roblox has released a statement saying that they would delete all classic/2d faces off the platform, replacing them with dynamic heads because static faces do not allow users to 'express themselves'. This is not true. I'd say about 90% of users on Roblox use non-animated faces by their own choice, and the majority have spent their money to buy a specific face for their avatar. The super super happy face for example costs around $1,000 dollars worth of robux to buy. Now, changing that face to a completely different one along with every other face with no refund sounds like a scam, doesn't it? If people liked dynamic heads, they would use them. Why can't we just have both classic and animated heads? In 2023, Roblox had promised us that classic faces would not go away. What happened to that? What connection will you have left with the community if you burn down the bridge built on years of trust by making empty promises you won't keep? How is it allowing users to express themselves when you cut off the options that they have and forcing your ideal way onto millions of players and tell them how they can express themselves? Classic faces have been around for 17 years, and there has been no problem with self-expression. In fact, Roblox has grown to be the biggest social gaming platform in the world. So why fix a problem that has never existed in the first place? We love our faces just as they are. Stop trying to turn Roblox into an unrecognizable platform. Don't erase history, cherish it. It is the very thing that made Roblox what it is today.
