Chestnut Bazaar Market is a successful community space formed in 2022 off Clanbraasil Street, Dublin 8. The collection of vendors have received an offer from the landlords to stay through to the end of 2023 while the space lies vacant and awaiting redevelopment. There has been a huge amount of investment in the space to make it a safe attractive addition to the local community of Dublin 8 and a useful local amenity. 

This petition is to Dublin City Council to allow the continuation of the market in light of overwhelming community support, a lease from the landlords for one year, where the space would otherwise be derelict, and the positive impact such a space would continue to have for the locality and Dublin City in terms of commerce, culture and the vitality of the area.
