The title Brownie in no way is offensive as part of the Girl Guides of Canada to Indigenous peoples of Canada. Do not change something over 100 years old.  Changing the title does not take any part in the reconciliation or truth to the Indigenous nations. Changing the name is making a mockery of the message Indigenous peoples are giving. Indigenous Nations are asking for dignity not making an issue where there is none.  We the Alumni and it's supporters would like to express our protest to the change of name. Changing the name does offend some members of the Alumni and their supporters listed below.
