Croydon Council is seeking to introduce draconian, inconsistent rules which will reduce the number of hives which can be held at Pampisford Road Allotments.

We have been beekeepers at Pampisford Road Allotments since 2017, helping support pollination on plots and supporting our fragile ecosystem.

But now, Croydon Council want us to agree to new terms which would mean reducing the maximum number of hives at Pampisford Road from 7 to 4, and remove all existing infrastructure built to maintain and manage the apiary.

If we do not agree to these new terms, we have been threatened with no only losing the apiary but also eviction from our plot which we have held since October 2017.

It is well documented that bees are integral to our ecosystem, and are under immense threat. Croydon Council appear to be ambivalent to how essential bees are for our long-term survival.

We need your signature to demonstrate to the Council the importance of bees for our plots but also the environment.
