The Bayswater Bru and her owner, Sovana Thach, has been an institution in Kings Cross for over 12 years. In those years, Sovana has been a strong support for all the people in the area – yes, serving delicious sandwiches and the best coffee around, but more importantly, listening, caring and supporting them through all walks of life.

Recently ‘The Bayswater Hotel’ has been sold and Sovana could be forced to give up the business and leave the premises within four weeks. 

We refer to her as ‘mama’ and the community needs the Bru and Sovana. In many ways, she is the heart one soul of Bayswater Rd and we should do whatever we can to keep it that way.
