Hi everyone!

If you are reading this, please sign this petition in support of transgender athletes and in opposition of CS/HB1475 AND SB2012! No one's bodies should have to be violated in order to partake in a sport. These bills specifically target fully-transitioned/transitioning transgender women, but these legislators could EASILY write legislation against fully-transitioned/transitioning transgender men partaking in sports as their transitioned gender. This is HOMOPHOBIC and TRANSPHOBIC and DEFINITELY NOT FEMINIST!!!

These bills harm competitively-athletic students, friends, family, ANYONE who identifies as "transgender." Currently, the House Bill is currently on first reading within the House, whereas the Senate Bill will be heard in two separate subcommittees before it is heard in Senate. What is funny about both of these bills are that they are pretty much a "copy-and-paste" type of bill, meaning that they are VERY similar in wording and purpose.

As a non-binary student at Florida State University, I am SICK of people saying that gender is "what is in your pants," when it DOES NOT work that way!! I am constantly misgendered almost every day, so being in support of these bills means that you would 100% be willing to let transgender people live in dysphoria every day. No, this is not a "don't do sports then" type of situation. This is a hate crime.

*I just wanted to add that it costs THOUSANDS of dollars to fully transition, and that is WITH HEALTH INSURANCE!!! Being transgender is NOT a choice, but being hateful IS a choice!!!*
