STOP THE BAN OF ABORTIONS IN SEVERAL STATES IN AMERICA

The Issue

I've endured pain over this past year. I'm 17 and I had to abort my child. It was the right thing to do or my future would be at risk because I wouldn't be able to go on and do the things I want. I.e university, becoming a businesswoman or even just having a normal life.

You may be wondering why does this concern America? Why does this concern the President of the United States?

Well, I've been reading the news recently and it's come to my attention that men in some of your states are deciding now in 2019 that they are stopping women from being able to have abortions. This scares me deeply because I know not only is the adoption/fostering system in America a mess and can be fairly horrible for the child to go through but the mother as well will not have the same opportunities if they are forced to have this clot of cells.

For example, I took out my contraception for a week because the hormones were making me deeply depressed. In that week I slept with my boyfriend and then I had to have an abortion. Really awful experience on top of this, I was then. In the top 5% of women who’s abortions did not work so in result I had to do other things to get rid of it. Now I’m glad I had the choices to do this because if not my life would be over I’d probably have to support myself and the baby. Claiming benefits ultimately which is no one's dream. I’m an ambitious individual so to me, that would send me down a dark route. If I didn’t have the choice to have an abortion, my life would be dark. The child would have a dark life. It’s not fair.

It sickens me that male politicians in America are deciding what is right for women. When women are voting against it. These male politicians don’t have a uterus, they don’t have to support the children being forced to be born that then having an adverse effect creating more poverty and corruption in America. It is really inhumane. I really do hope we can make a change, possibly speaking with the President about this issue because it disturbs deeply that women will have to go through with mistakes or if they're raped and still have to keep it? The trauma.  I can't even imagine. It’s not fair.

I really hope we can all take this stance together and make this change.  Help those poor girls, who are not even women yet are being forced to have their baby as a baby. What is happening?? These are the same people with the authority to decide when the right age to drink is so surely, a girl as young as 11 who isn't 'old' enough to consume alcohol really shouldn't be forced to birth ANOTHER human life?? what?? absurd.  It's  2019 we need to make a change for their futures, for their trauma and most importantly their chance at a fair life.
