Make it a law, people who are convicted of animal cruelty cannot work as a dog groomer.

The Issue

Prohibit persons convicted of animal cruelty from working with animals in the pet grooming industry. There are no laws protecting the animals from dog groomers. Often dogs are severely injured and even die due to groomer abuse. If a dog groomer is convicted of animal cruelty, there are no laws preventing them from getting another job at a nearby business which potentially places other animals in harms way. Why would we allow people who have knowingly harmed animals be able to pay a fine and continue to work in the grooming industry?
