Free Pectus Surgery on the NHS - Don't let the government cut it

Free Pectus Surgery on the NHS - Don't let the government cut it
The Issue
Pectus is a condition in which the ribs and the breast plate grow abnormally during childhood. There are two main types Pectus Excavatum or sunken chest and Pectus Carinatum or pigeon chest.
It is common affecting 1 in 250 people. For the last 50 years, the most severe pectus abnormalities have been corrected with surgery. Around 400 operations are performed in the UK every year. The physical and psychological benefits of surgery in this group of young people are LIFE TRANSFORMING. The NHS plans to withdraw financial support for this operation, so denying children and young people the right to free treatment.
The policy is out for public consultation until march 6 th 2016 so please support this campaign to stop them from withdrawing this valuable surgery.
Thank You
