This is a non-partisan petition for Arizona gubernatorial candidate Katie Hobbs, the current Secretary of State for the state of Arizona, to resign her post as Secretary of State, effective immediately.  

A primary duty of the Secretary of State in Arizona is to oversee elections and the electoral process.  In the current atmosphere of election distrust, it is a gross conflict of interest for Hobbs to remain in this position while running for governor.

Hobbs' resignation of her post would go a long way to reassure the voting public that this will be an honest and fair election as far as the Secretary of State's office is concerned, because it would reduce any appearance of impropriety on her part.
