It’s hard to believe that it’s almost two years since we lost Katie, when her life was so tragically taken from her in the most heartbreaking circumstances.

From that very day, as a family, we have fought every single day — and we will continue to fight. We will not stop until the person responsible for her death is held accountable. We will not stop until the police take our concerns seriously, acknowledge their failings, and answer for the way Katie was treated.

We will also continue to pursue Lancashire Adult Social Care for the role they played in placing Katie in a situation where she was alone, vulnerable, and without protection.

Some days it feels like we are getting nowhere. Some days it feels like no one is listening. But we will not give up. We cannot give up — not for Katie.
