Overview

While "The Good Life" is not our official state slogan, it has been on signs entering the state for the past 40 years. This bill does not DIRECTLY change that, but it could help set the wheels in motion for their change. We would like to let our senators, the tourism commission, and the Nebraska Department of Roads know we love these signs, and want to guarantee they stay.

LB1024 gives the right of changing the official state slogan and logo to the tourism commission. While they have every right to change their taglines as they see fit, we do not believe they should have the rights to our official state slogan with no legislative approval whatsoever.
