Dr. Tanya Guin, principal of Carbon Hill Elementary/Jr. high school, was removed from her position and placed on paid leave back in August of 2016. Dr. Tanya Guin has been a part of Carbon Hill schools for many years and she is a pillar in our community.  She loves our children and always encourages them to be the best they can be. She knows her students on a personal level and makes them feel important.  4 months have passed and the children, teachers and community of Carbon Hill want their principal back. Dr. Tanya Guin was given no explanation or reason why she was taken from the school. Many citizens have flooded the school board meetings at the Waker County Board of Education in search of answers. However, Dr. Jason Adkins, Superintendent, refuses to let them speak or answer any questions. Our community wants their principal back! Our children need their leader back! This petition is being started in hopes of extending awareness and asking people around the country to help us get our voices heard!
