Scottish jobs and businesses deserve the same coronavirus support as the rest of the UK

0 have signed. Let’s get to 15,000!

The Chancellor Rishi Sunak has announced coronavirus grants to support retail, hospitality and leisure businesses in England, providing a £25,000 grant for every property. Westminster passed money to the Scottish Government to provide the same support to Scottish business - Nicola Sturgeon committed to pass on every penny. Fiona Hyslop (Economy Minister) announced to the Scottish Parliament of English support that they would be "replicating their package of measures in full".

The Scottish Finance Minister, Kate Forbes, then betrayed these commitments and has limited support grants to one per business - so a business with multiple properties only receives assistance with one of them.

Jobs and businesses all over Scotland are now at risk. Scotland deserves the same protection as the rest of the UK - we demand equal support for Scottish jobs and businesses!
