First off, THANK YOU. We are so close to 7,500. This is incredible seeing as it was only a week ago that I started this petition. I also realized I left out details in regards to the accused in my sister's sexual assault case. So allow me to fill you in.. There is currently an ongoing trial for the accused. Without our enormous support online and from the media, this would have never gone forward. My mom fought to have Kassidi's name released so that we could share her story. By doing this, we gained a huge following and brought a lot of attention to the case. There was hesitation at first because Kassidi wasn't physically here anymore to defend herself. She couldn't be cross examined by the defendant's lawyer. But, thanks to everyone's support everything is moving forward and the trial continues in December.
